Banjo or Ukulele

Any guesses?

This is a Banjo-uke, sometimes called a Banjo Ukulele or Banjo uke, which is a combination of a Banjo and a Ukulele.
There's more information, if you want to click the 'Banjo-uke' link.

They were first introduced by Alvin D. Keech in 1917.  (Just after Bad Monkey House was built.)
This one was well beyond repair and so Mr. BMH made it into a light.  Cool, huh?

It's already sold, but there are more if you are interested in having a one of a kind light of your very own, just drop him an email at Mr. BMH.

Bad Monkey House Toy Drum Light

Do you march to a different Drummer?

Here is a sweet little vintage toy drum that has a new life as a light.
The skin on this one (that's what you call the part you drum ) has a red shade to it, so the light has a nice rose glow. It would be a great night light, it can either hang on the wall or sit on a table.

Because most every light is created from vintage items, they are all one of a kind.

This one is currently for sale at Boys' Fort in downtown Portland, Oregon.
